Focus Tools (“we,” “us”) operates focus.tools. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

This site is mostly static. We do not ask you to create an account or submit forms on focus.tools.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google LLC, to see which pages people open and how they find the site.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a choice first. We also ask when we cannot tell the country. Until you choose Allow, the Google tag is not loaded and analytics cookies are not set. Reject keeps it off. That choice stays in this browser (local storage) and is not sent to us. Cookies in the footer opens it again.

Elsewhere, Google Analytics loads with the page. You can still block it in your browser, or with the opt-out add-on below.

The country check uses the country code our host, Cloudflare, already attaches to the request. We use it only to decide whether to ask, and we do not store it.

When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, including one named _ga and one that starts with _ga_. They can stay in your browser for up to two years. They tell visits and browsers apart. The site still works if you block them.

Data sent to Google can include:

We use this to understand which guides and picks are useful. This site has no accounts, and we do not ask for your name or email for analytics. Google processes the data under its own rules, including on servers outside your country. Read Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and how Google uses data from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab).

To stop Google Analytics in this browser, block cookies for focus.tools, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13.
